Stampbook Saturday - Karen

Hello and happy Saturday!  This week, the super fabulous Chupa has inspired me with a gorgeous card using World's Best.

What is a Stampbook Page? A stampbook page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week we create a new stampbook page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos you've been meaning to scrapbook.

This is the card by Chupa that inspired me get creative this week:

I just adore this layout and the papers, but switched out the papers for Lost & Found Blush from My Mind's Eye.  This is a photo of my youngest at our Mother's Day Tea last year for her preschool class.  I'm a sucker for her huge brown eyes and sweet smile and she actually looked at the camera, so I stole a moment.

I still used World's Best for the stamped flowers and added a little die cut branch underneath.  I sewed around the borders of the layers and then attempted to distress the edges.  Not the greatest job there, but you know, I'm not a distresser, so I'm still in process with that, LOL!

I stamped the flower 6 times with Memento Rich Cocoa and then cut out the different layers of the flowers and sponged the edges with Memento Angel Pink and secured them with a rhinestone brad.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
